Abstract
The design of an early warning and flood management tool using a water level sensor aims to provide warnings and manage floods in flood-prone areas. This tool consists of sensors installed in flood-prone locations, such as rivers or water channels. When the water reaches a potentially dangerous level, the sensor sends a signal to the monitoring system. The purpose of this study is to design a design for an early warning and flood management tool using a water level sensor and can be monitored via Joglo residents' gadgets. The method used is to conduct observations of local residents to find out the problems that occur in the Joglo housing complex. The component design stage is carried out after the results of the observations carried out to produce a design for an early warning and flood management tool using a water level sensor. The tool testing stage by installing an observer device in the river in the Joglo housing area, after which a trial was carried out in the form of observing the height of the river water using a water level sensor and an ultrasonik sensor. This check functions to trigger the buzzer and water pump to provide early warning and flood management. This test is carried out to measure the level of accuracy of the water level sensor in detecting water discharge, as well as testing the ability of the ultrasonik sensor to measure the distance from the surface. In addition, this device is designed to send information in real-time through an application connected using the NodeMCU ESP32. When the sensor detects water intrusion, the device will automatically activate the buzzer and send a reminder or notification to the Blynk application to activate the water pump. The application display includes height data, flood conditions, and a button to activate the water pump. The results of the test show that the system of this program runs well according to existing operational conditions. When the sensor detects water level and flood status, the system will compare the data with the Flood Detected indicator. The results of this comparison are then processed further, so that the system will automatically execute commands according to the results of the data obtained during the testing phase. The tool developed by the researcher is effective in detecting potential floods up to a height of 3 meters, and can provide early warning and flood management.
