Abstract

Research on moral messages in films examines elements related to moral values. Literary works have a noble human nature which is depicted through the attitudes and behavior of the characters in a literary work which can help shape a better person. In essence, it has a moral message, the author chose the film Later We Tell About Today to analyze the moral message contained in the film. The relevance of moral messages in literature learning in high school using films that focus on moral messages that can be applied to students, as well as the implementation of literature learning to teach speaking, listening, reading and writing techniques. This research focuses on class XI high school material regarding identifying the elements of drama texts that are read and heard. especially appreciation of drama performances, playing drama or staging drama, and writing drama texts or scripts. The aim of this research is to describe the form of the moral message in the film Later We Tell About Today and describe the relevance of the form of the moral message in the film Later We Tell About Today with the achievement of literature learning in high school. This research uses a qualitative descriptive type, meaning research that produces data in the form of written or spoken words from people and observed behavior. Later, we'll tell you about today's research using primary and secondary data sources. The data collection technique for this research uses note-taking and library techniques. This research uses literary sociology data analysis techniques with an interactive approach. The results of this research are (1) The elements of this film include: theme, characters/characterization, plot, setting, point of view, language style, and message (2) This research found a total of 23 moral message data which were grouped into several parts including 7 data of affection, 3 data of being patient, 5 data of hard work, 6 data of responsibility, and 2 data of sincerity. (3) Its relevance to literature learning regarding class XI high school drama text material.
