Abstract
The purpose of this research is to find out 1) The influence of the level of understanding on students' learning abilities. 2) The influence of students' perceptions of teacher professional competence on learning abilities. The influence of the level of understanding and students' perceptions of the professional competence of teachers on learning abilities. This research method uses quantitative research. The population in this study were 180 students of class XI in Economics subject at SMA Negeri 1 Pecangaan. The number of samples used in this study was 5% of the population, namely 180 with a significant error of 5%, the result was 119 students. The data collection technique uses random sampling because the technique of taking members of the sample from the population is done randomly without paying attention to the strata in the population. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, F Test (Simultaneous Test), t test (Partial Test), Determination Coefficient Test (R2), and Relative Contribution (SR) and Effective Contribution (SE). The results showed that there was a significant influence on the level of student understanding and perceptions of students about the professional competence of teachers on the learning ability of class XI students in Economics in Pecangaan 1 State High School, Jepara District, Study year 2018/2019.
