Abstract

The more technology facilitates human work, the more sedentary people’s becomes. Environmental warming has significantly impacted life, especially health, through altered weather patterns and declining environmental quality (water, air and food quality). Regular exercise contributes to improved health and also has a good influence in encouraging increased productivity and performance. Exercising is basically very important for every individual to maintain physical and mental health as well as being a source of fun and entertainment. People in Magetan Regency have the same needs as other regions, namely sports facilities for all groups. However, growing community interest in sport is not matched by edequate facilities. Based on these conditions, the design of Sport Center in Magetan Regency with Sustainable Architecture approach is a step to realize a sustainable, healthy, comfortable, and fulfilling life, while maintaining environmental balance. Sustainable Architecture principles that will be applied include Site & Land Use, Community, Health and Well-being, Material, Energy, Water. It is expected that the design of Sport Center with Sustainable Architecture approach in Magetan Regency will improve the community’s standard of living and enhance the sporting achievements of athletes.
