Abstract
Final semester students of the Faculty of Psychology, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta face difficulties in working on their thesis which affects their ability to manage time and low self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to describe the picture of students' self-efficacy in the process of working on their thesis. The subjects of the study were five final semester students who met the criteria. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach with a semi-structured interview data collection method. The validity test used the member check technique and data analysis used narrative descriptive. The results of the study showed that there was a tendency for high self-efficacy in final year students as indicated by their self-confidence to persist and find solutions when facing difficulties in the process of compiling their thesis. Students showed the ability to face varying levels of difficulty, understand their strengths in certain situations, and try to maximize their abilities by overcoming worries, fears, and doubts. thesis, such as lack of reference sources and internal problems. This study is expected to provide insight into increasing self-efficacy to support students in completing their thesis effectively.
