Abstract
Karanganyar Regency is one of the areas located in Central Java Province that has abundant and exotic natural tourist attractions. The uneven distribution of tourism is due to the fact that the Karanganyar Regency area is located in the mountains. There are also geotourism objects that have the potential to be highly valuable but are not supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure, resulting in suboptimal tourist visits to these geotourism sites. One of the media or software widely utilized for the management of tourist attractions is WEBGIS STORYMAPS. The objectives of this research are 1) to analyze the distribution of geotourism objects in Karanganyar Regency, 2) to create information regarding geotourism promotion in Karanganyar Regency through WEBGIS STORYMAPS, and 3) to analyze the development of geotourism objects in Karanganyar Regency using SWOT analysis. The method used is qualitative, supported by field observations, data input into the STORYMAPS-based Geotourism Map, followed by spatial analysis using ANN to obtain the distribution pattern of geotourism, and data management techniques using Arcgis Online Storymaps to create information and promote geotourism in Karanganyar Regency, followed by descriptive qualitative analysis methods in the form of SWOT analysis to conduct tourism development analysis in Karanganyar Regency. The results of this study indicate that the distribution pattern of geotourism in the districts of Ngargoyoso, Tawangmangu, Jenawi, and Karangpandan is random. The Information and Promotion Map available on WEBGIS STORYMAPS can be accessed via link and QR code. Field observations indicate that many geotourism sites have not been fully developed, especially those managed by private entities and individuals. One of the geotourism sites in Ngargoyoso District has issues with damaged road infrastructure. The development and maintenance of infrastructure at the Tenggir Park geotourism site and Kedung Sirti Waterfall are also inadequate and not maximally carried out.
