Abstract

Indonesia with the majority of Indonesia's Muslim population is certainly one of the drivers of the creative economy in the halal industry, one of which is Muslim fashion which has emerged as one of the creative economy options. Researchers decided to explore the halal industry from fashion and its legal regulations in Indonesia with a discussion of opportunities and constraints as well as strategies used by the Muslim fashion industry. With a case study on Al-Fath Muslim fashion store in Surakarta and Karita Muslim Fashion in Yogyakarta. The method used is descriptive qualitative, analysing several challenges and opportunities obtained through primary and secondary data sources, with the results analysed using the triangulation analysis method. With the results obtained, the opportunities of the two Muslim fashion stores can get enormous opportunities in the creative economy industry, while still improving human resources, as well as strategies to respond to challenges and challenges that cannot be predicted in the future and with the existence of PP No.39 of 2021 derived from Law No. 20 of 2020 concerning work copyright where this is a step for staging halal certified obligations for product types. This research emphasises that Muslim fashion in the creative economy must continue to innovate to continue to expand the creative economy market and remain in the key halal industry in accordance with sharia.
