Abstract

Happiness is everyone's desire, including students. However, the burden of the academy and life as a student sometimes causes psychological pressure on students, which causes them to have a low level of happiness and can cause their learning achievement to decline further. This research aims to determine the relationship between religiosity, the practice of sadaqah, and UMS students' happiness levels. This research method uses a correlational quantitative approach. The data collection instrument uses a questionnaire, and the sampling technique uses proportional random sampling. The number of samples in this study was 146 students from religious organizations. This study found that religiosity and almsgiving had a significant relationship with student happiness, with a practical contribution of 15%. The religiosity variable has a positive and significant relationship with happiness, with a practical contribution of 5.6%. Then, the alms variable has a positive and significant relationship with a practical contribution of 9.4%. In this study, the alms variable had a more significant contribution than the religiosity variable in influencing student happiness.
