Abstract
Economic growth is one of the indicators used to measure the success rate of economic development in a region. This research aims to analyze the economic sector that becomes the largest contribution in increasing economic geography in Surakarta City in 2019-2023, analyze the base and non-base sectors to increase regional economic growth in Surakarta City in 2019-2023 and analyze changes in the regional economic structure in Surakarta City in 2019-2023. This research uses secondary data from the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) data at constant prices of Surakarta City and Central Java Province. The analysis used are economic contribution analysis, Location Quentient (LQ) analysis, Shift Share (SS) analysis and spatial analysis. The result of the analysis of the largest contribution in the increase of economic geography in Surakarta City in 2019-2023 is the construction sector with an average of 24.44 percent of the total GRDP of Surakarta City. The results of Location Quentient (LQ) analysis, there are 12 sectors with an average value of LQ> 1 and there are 5 sectors that have an average value of LQ < 1. The results of the Shift Share (SS) analysis in 2019-2023 can be concluded to work well because there are 13 sectors that have positive growth values and there has been a change in economic structure to the tertiary sector in Surakarta City. The change in economic structure is indicated by the decrease in the value of primary sector Dij, although the value of the economic contribution of the sector to the GDRP of Surakarta City is still relatively large. Meanwhile, for the secondary and tertiary sectors in Surakarta, the Dij value is increasing.
