Abstract
Land use change is basically unavoidable in the implementation of the development process. The development of Mojolaban Sub-district will raise a number of issues when faced with the fact that the area of the Sub-district is limited. Rapid population growth, as well as the increasing demands of the community for land, often results in a clash of interests over land use, and results in a mismatch between land use and its designation plan. The need for space to carry out various activities and other supporting facilities encourages the intensity of changes in the form and extent of land use. This research was conducted in Mojolaban Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency which has the following objectives: Analyzing the distribution of land use change in Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo Regency in 2016 and 2021. Analyzing the social impact of land use change in Mojolaban Subdistrict, Sukoharjo Regency in 2016 and 2021. Analyzing the dominant factors affecting land use change in Mojolaban Subdistrict. The method used in this research is the survey method. The objects in this research are Land use in Mojolaban Subdistrict and Land in Mojolaban Subdistrict. Sampling in this study used purposive sampling. In collecting data using primary data and secondary data. Primary data used in this research are: (1) 2016 and 2021 land use data of Mojolaban Sub-district; (2) 2016 and 2021 Google earth images of Mojolaban Sub-district. Secondary data was obtained from satellite imagery, previous research, and agency documents in Mojolaban Sub-district. Data processing techniques used image interpretation, digitization, overlay, field survey and accuracy test. The results showed that land use in Mojolaban Subdistrict has changed in the last 6 years from 2016 to 2021. The land use change that experienced the most extensive change was the use of paddy fields into residential land use amounting to 586.029 Ha. And for the use of paddy fields into open land amounting to 41.95 Ha. And the use of water body land into rice fields amounted to 0.45 Ha. And the use of paddy fields into dry land farming amounted to 0.29 Ha. And land use of water bodies into settlements of 0.19 Ha. The results of the analysis of this land use change have negative and positive impacts on the community. There are several dominant factors that influence land use change in Mojolaban Sub-district, namely population, accessibility and land value.
