Abstract

Semarang Regency has great tourism potential, especially in the natural tourism sector which still maintains its authenticity. Various forms of topography create unique and interesting landscape characteristics, making this district have a high natural tourist attraction. On the other hand, the rapid development of sport tourism in Indonesia opens up opportunities to combine natural tourism with sports and physical activities. This research aims to (1) Identify natural tourism potential that can support sport tourism activities in Semarang Regency. (2) Analyzing the strategy for developing natural sports tourism in Semarang Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative data collection using observation and interviews. The results of this research show that the potential for natural tourism for sport tourism activities in Semarang Regency in the potential category, several of these tourism sites have a combination of strong internal and external potential, such as stunning natural beauty, such as waterfalls flowing fast in the middle of the forest or steep cliffs, accessibility. good ones such as roads to tourist locations that are well maintained and have paths that are relatively easy and safe to pass, and adequate supporting facilities for sport tourism activities including basic facilities such as clean toilets, rubbish bins, rest areas and informative information centers. Development strategies that can be carried out on natural tourism potential for sport tourism activities in Semarang Regency include improving the quality of tourism, improving sustainable infrastructure and facilities and developing sport tourism events.
