Abstract

Education helps students so that they can carry out their tasks independently and carry out their responsibilities. Education is the process of changing the attitudes and behavior of a person or group of people in an effort to mature humans through teaching and training efforts, educational processes, methods and actions. The low level of education in a nation will cause the nation to be left behind. The condition of education in Wonogiri Regency when compared with Central Java is still too far apart to be equal in terms of any aspect, therefore this research discusses 2 objectives, namely 1) analyzing the distribution pattern of public and private high schools in Wonogiri Regency, 2) analyzing the distribution and density of high schools Public and Private in Wonogiri Regency with population. The research method used is quantitative descriptive which is supported by secondary data, namely data on the number of schools, population data and data on the coordinates of school locations. The analytical method used in this research is the ANN (Average Nearest Neighbor) method. The results of the ANN points for Public and Private High Schools produce a classification of 3675.25 and the z-score value is 32211.38 and are included in the dispersed group and the distribution of Public and Private High Schools in Wonogiri Regency is mostly found in Wonogiri District, which is the district It has the largest population compared to other sub-districts.
