Abstract
Student Islamic boarding schools are religious education institutions along with residences for Muslim students. Student Islamic boarding schools exist as non-formal educational facilities specifically established for students who are currently studying at universities. The KH Mas Mansur student Islamic boarding school (Pesma) is one of the student Islamic boarding schools under the auspices of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS). As an Islamic building, it is appropriate to maximize the application of the Islamic Architectural Concept (KAI) in the men's dormitory building. However, the result is that this dormitory building is not optimal in implementing the Islamic Architectural Concept. This redesign process begins with conducting a case study using direct observation to identify the characteristics of Islamic architecture that have been implemented and which will be added in the redesign process for the men's dormitory building. This SKPA continues the process of yesterday's Research Seminar and the results of the research obtained a number of analyzes of the application of Islamic Architectural Concepts to dormitory buildings, a percentage of 40% was obtained. From these results it can be concluded that the dormitory building does not apply the Islamic Architectural Concept so that a redesign process will be carried out so that the Islamic Architectural Concept applied will be maximized.
