Abstract

Flood disasters are one of several natural disasters that often occur in Indonesia, one of which is in the Bogowonto watershed. The Bogowonto Watershed is one of the watersheds located in two provinces, namely the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province and Central Java Province. Flood disasters occur due to overflowing water bodies which are unable to accommodate the volume of water. The flood disaster that occurred some time ago which hit parts of the Bogowonto watershed in Purworejo Regency resulted in losses, especially in the economic and social sectors. The identification of flood-prone areas certainly needs to be studied to assist communities in mitigating flood disasters. Therefore, the objectives of this research are 1) to analyze the spatial distribution of flood susceptibility levels in Bogowonto watershed, and 2) to analyze the percentage of flood susceptibility levels in Bogowonto watershed. This research was carried out using the help of several secondary data including SRTM 90m digital elevation model (DEM) data, 2023 sentinel-2A imagery with recording areas of part of Central Java Province and part of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province, land use data, rainfall data, data type of soil. The method used in this research uses a scoring and overlay method for each parameter that has been given a score and weight. The parameters used are divided into 6 parameters that influence flood suscptibility, namely slope, land elevation, soil infiltration, rainfall, land use, and river density. These parameters are processed according to the study area, namely the Bogowonto watershed. After processing, each parameter class will be given a score with the provision that the higher the score, the more influential the parameter class is on flood susceptibility, then each parameter will be given a weight according to its influence on flood susceptibility and the final step is to overlay or combine all the flood susceptibility parameters and produce a map of flood susceptibility areas in the Bogowonto watershed. Based on this processing, this research produces 5 classes of flood susceptibility namely areas with extremely high flood susceptibility cover, very susceptible covers, moderately susceptible covers, slightly susceptibile covers, not susceptible covers. The results of the mapping show that flood susceptibility in the extremely high flood susceptibility class covers an area of 7936.08 Ha or 12.84% covering Kec. Bagelen, Kec. Purwodadi, Kec. Ngombol, Kec. Banyuurip. Very susceptible class covers an area of 36121.99 Ha or 58.43% covering Kec. Purworejo, Kec. Girimulyo, Kec. Gebang, Kec. Bener, Kec. Salaman, Kec. Kajoran. The Moderately susceptible covers an area of 10819.29 Ha or 17.50% covering Kec. Kokap, part of Kec. Bagelen, Kec. Kaligesing, part of Kec. Salaman, Kec. Loano. The slightly susceptibile covers class an area of 3182.21 Ha or 5.15% covering parts of Kec. Sapuran, part of Kec. Kepil, part of Kec. Kajoran. The not susceptible covers class an area of 3762.60 Ha or 6.09% covering Kec. Kalikajar, District. Tlogomulyo and parts of Kec. Sapuran.
