Abstract
Attendance is an activity where a person performs an activity to record an attendance. Until now, many attendance systems still use written paper media to record attendance, so others have to wait for their turn to attend. This circumstance is quite time-consuming and reduces efficiency in absence. To overcome this, an online attendance system in the form of a web or application was created to make it easier to take absences. This system is designed to perform attendance efficiently and can be used by many people at one time while using the PHP programming language and the codeignitier framework, with the attendance method using a camera to capture a picture.. This system makes it possible to process attendance recaps quickly, effectively and efficiently, and helps in remembering students' faces when managing absences. This attendance system was developed using the waterfall method and tested using the black box testing method and the usability scale system. The results of the black box testing on this system have proven the accuracy of the data that the system has run normally without any bugs or errors found in the program, while the test results of the usability scale system have reached an average percentage result of 77,5%. These results are enough to prove that the survey of respondents can accept this system well.
