Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine or understand the relationship between peer support and parental socioeconomic status on students' learning interests. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis, with the SPSS program as a tool for Testing Assumptions and Hypotheses. With the population being Students of SMK Penerbangan Bina Dhirgantara Surakarta and the sample taken was ± 70 Class X Students of SMK Penerbangan Bina Dhirgantara, the sampling technique used was incidental sampling. This study used data collection tools, namely the scale of peer social support and learning interests and the questionnaire on the socioeconomic status of parents. The data obtained were analyzed using the normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and hypothesis test. The results obtained from the correlation coefficient value of 0.306 indicate that there is a fairly close and positive relationship between Social Support and Learning Interests, the correlation coefficient value of 0.306 indicates that there is a fairly close and positive relationship between Parental Socioeconomic Status and Learning Interests. The hypothesis is accepted that there is a relationship between variables X1 and Y and X2 and Y. From the results, it can be concluded that there is a close and positive relationship between Social Support and Parents' Socioeconomic Status and Learning Interest.
