Abstract
The huge development of social media have both positive and negative impacts among adolescents. One of the negative impacts of using social media is being involved in cyberbullying. Factors that can inhibit cyberbullying among teenagers include parental supervision, social media literacy and online self-disclosure. This research aims to determine the influence of maternal and paternal supervision, social media literacy and online self-disclosure on cyberbullying in adolescents. Cyber bullying scale with a validity index moving from 0.75 - 0.96 with item reliability of 0.801, parental supervision scale with a validity index moving between 0.78 - 0.96 with a measuring instrument reliability value of 0.923, media literacy scale social with the item validity index moving between 0.78 – 0.96. The reliability of the measuring instrument is 0.886, the online self-disclosure scale with a validity index moves between 0.82 – 0.96. The reliability of the measuring instrument is 0.638. Data analysis uses multiple regression. The correlation results between parental supervision, social media literacy and online self-disclosure with cyber bullying obtained a correlation value of R = 0.240 with a significance of 0.000 (p < 0.05) with an F count of 5.720, meaning parental supervision, social media literacy and online self-disclosure influence on cyber bullying behavior. The effective contribution of the maternal supervision variable is 1.74% and online self-disclosure is 3.57%.
