Abstract

Coronavirus SARS-COV-2 has been the source of a respiratory sickness pandemic known as COVID-19. Fever, cough, influenza, and difficulty breathing are the main signs of coronavirus infection. Not only has the epidemic put an unprecedented strain on healthcare and emergency services, but it has also severely damaged the social and economic fabric of human society. Cikadut Village, Cimenyan District, Bandung Regency citizens' socioeconomic situations have been impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic. This review aims to evaluate, examine, analyze, and explain these impacts. Various participants from different occupations provided original data for the survey. These included small-scale entrepreneurs in the home industry (e.g., those in the spinach chip business, boutiques, catering, etc.), cleaning staff, domestic assistants, construction workers, and small-scale traders (e.g., those selling cakes, fried foods, gasoline, rice, rice stalls, snacks for schoolchildren, basic foods, credit, etc.). Students impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as their parents and guardians, representatives from Karang Taruna, representatives from RT Heads, and the Village Head were all interviewed. The people of Cikadut Village have been hit particularly hard by the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak in recent years. There has been a major influence on nearly every facet of community life, including socioeconomic status, in addition to health-related issues. Cikadut Village's socioeconomic well-being was severely compromised when the government instituted social limitations (PSBB/PPKM). As a result, it appears as though the social, economic, educational, and employment pillars—the very foundations of society— are paralyzed. A decline in human purchasing power, less educational options, higher unemployment rates, and widespread job displacement are all consequences of life's intrinsic shortness.
