Abstract

Wonogiri Regency is one of the districts in Central Java Province which has various tourist attractions, one of which is cave tourism, including Goa Tembus, Goa Putri Kencana, Goa Potro Bunder, Goa Sodong, Goa Gilap, Goa Mrico, and Goa Song Putri. These seven tourist attractions have the potential to be developed, but the problem is that the tourist attractions are only busy at certain times, and the existing facilities are still incomplete and there is a lack of promotion from the local government. The objectives of this research include (1) Analyzing the distribution of cave tourist attractions in Wonogiri Regency. (2) Analyze the development potential for the cave tourist attraction. The methods used are data analysis and observation methods at the location of the research object. Research results (1) The distribution of cave tourist attractions in Wonogiri Regency in Pracimantoro District is grouped following the Karst Museum, while there is only one cave in Eromoko District. (2) The potential for developing this cave tourist attraction uses SWOT analysis as a consideration. This SWOT analysis is about the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses and threats of cave tourist attractions in Wonogiri Regency.
