Abstract

Based on information from BPBD Karanganyar Regency, it is stated that Jaten, Kebakkramat, and Gondangrejo sub-districts are sub-districts that are prone to flooding because they are close to the Bengawan Solo watershed, with a total of 273 flood events in the 2015-2022 period. The factors causing flooding in the three sub-districts are land height, slope, rainfall, land use, soil type, and the existence of the Bengawan Solo watershed which crosses the three sub-districts. The aim of this research is to identify the distribution of flood vulnerability levels and analyze the area of distribution of flood vulnerability levels in the Bengawan Solo watershed in Karanganyar Regency. The method used in this research is secondary data analysis using scoring and overlay techniques. The results of the research show that there are 3 classifications of flood vulnerability levels, namely (not vulnerable, vulnerable, and very vulnerable), where the widest classification of flood vulnerability levels (not vulnerable) is in Gondangrejo District with 5079.7 ha or around 89% of the area (not vulnerable) flood. Then the widest level of flood vulnerability (prone) is in Kebakkramat and Jaten Districts, with an area (vulnerable) of 2868.89 ha or around 78% in Kebakkramat District, and 2020.97 ha or around 79% in Jaten District. Meanwhile, the classification of flood vulnerability level (very vulnerable) dominates in the riverbank areas that pass through the three sub-districts, with a total area (very vulnerable) to flooding of 146.63 ha or around 1.2% of the 11880.39 ha total area of the study area.
