Abstract

The independent learning policy is a form of improving the education system and responding to the needs of developing self-potential and improving human resources. The content of the surah will be discussed in more detail using the Al-Misbah interpretation for the surah Al-‘Alaq 1-5 and the Ibn Katsir interpretation for the surah Al-Baqarah verses 31-33. The purpose of this study is to determine the concept of independent learning in the two letters and the learning models contained therein. This study uses the Library Research method, the approach used is a philosophical approach. The results of this study indicate that in the content of the letter Al-‘Alaq verses 1-5 (Al-Misbah interpretation) and Al-Baqarah verses 31-33 (Ibn Katsir interpretation) there is an independent learning goal, which is contained in the two letters, namely learning carried out to improve morals, piety and faith, critical thinking, and more independent. The learning model used is one that is centered on students, independent learning as applied in the independent curriculum.
