Abstract

Floods and tidal waves that occur in coastal areas are a threat to society and can disrupt the stability of a region's resilience system. The sub-district worst affected by the tidal flood disaster was Sayung Sub-district. Sayung District is the district with the most cases of tidal flooding. The aim of this research is to analyze the zoning of physical vulnerability levels for tidal floods in Sayung District and also identify the zoning of social vulnerability levels in Sayung District. The method used is quantitative with field surveys. Parameters for physical vulnerability, namely land subsidence, were validated. The sampling method used is proportional cluster sampling. Physical and social vulnerabilities are scored and weighted. The results obtained are in the form of a physical vulnerability map for tidal floods, a social vulnerability map, and a map of vulnerability to tidal floods. The three maps are classified into 3 classes. In High Physical Vulnerability, it was found that land use was not in accordance with the Demak Regency Regional Regulation No.1 of 2020 article 36. Based on the social vulnerability analysis carried out, the factors that influenced the social vulnerability index value were in the form of population density weight values per village in Sayung District which were more dominant compared to the ratio of vulnerable groups.
