Abstract
Indonesia is the second largest contributor of plastic waste after China, with a volume of plastic waste produced of around 187.2 million tons. This large amount of plastic waste is very dangerous for the environment because plastic is nonbiodegradable, which takes around 20-100 years to decompose in the soil. This research aims to find the composition of the material mixture in the plastic production process. One method to reduce the accumulation of plastic waste is to recycle the plastic into products that can be reused. After going through several stages, the results obtained from recycling plastic products are possible as ingredients for the composition of mixed materials in the plastic production process. Then data was obtained from the tensile test results of the original material + reheating with a maximum peak value reaching 3.716104 Mpa and the strain value increasing by 0.897150%. These results are close to the original material obtained by tensile test data, the maximum peak value reached 6.175963 Mpa and the strain value increased by 1.765665%. The composition of original material mixed with reheating waste can be an alternative to original material as a material for the plastic production process to make it more efficient and economical, but with the provisions of 70% original material and 30% reheating waste.
