Abstract

Boyolali is one of the regencies in Central Java Province with a population density of 1,079,549 people. Along with the increasing population density due to the ongoing urbanization process, development in the Boyolali area also continues to increase, especially in urban areas. This has led to a decrease in green open land and the emergence of environmental pollution issues in urban areas. Given that the Boyolali Government has issued regulations related to the management, preservation and achievement of RTH in the Boyolali area which requires the procurement of RTH by 30%. The percentage of RTH in the Boyolali area has only touched 24.20%, so it is necessary to procure new RTH. Efforts to fulfill RTH can also be done in various ways, one of which is by procuring City Parks. In addition to being able to become a public space for city residents, city parks with a dominating level of green land can help increase the percentage of urban RTH that Boyolali Regency wants and must achieve. After a research process ranging from litelature studies, field studies and comparative studies, produced a study output in the form of an urban park design with a Green Architecture design approach. The concept of Green Architecture is considered capable of being a solution to problems related to environmental pollution issues in urban areas in Boyolali, able to support healthy environmental sustainability, and resource efficiency. The application of 5 principles of Green Architecture in the form of the use of renewable building materials (natural materials), Respect for site (responding to the state of the site), Conserving energy (energy saving), Respect for users (paying attention to users), and Limitting new resources (minimizing new resources) can create a city park as an aesthetically beautiful public space and contribute positively to the health of the environment and the welfare of the people of the city.
