Abstract

Education as a system is basically a systematization of the process of gaining experience, therefore philosophically education is defined as a process of acquiring learning that is useful for students. The process of achieving educational goals at school is influenced by several factors, including through tutoring This research describes the implementation of the kirana tutoring program to improve the achievement of Islamic Religious Education among children in Bolon village as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors for this tutoring activity. This research is qualitative research with the type of research using case studies, data collection using three methods, namely: interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques in this research use the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this research show that learning is carried out 3x a week with 3 assistants and 25 students. The tutoring program has general and religious learning activities. During the process, the companion provides direction and guides both studying general science and Islamic religion which covers the scope of the Islamic religion, including Fiqh, including the practice of praying and memorizing prayer readings. Meanwhile, the Qur'an includes Iqro', tadarus and memorization of selected short letters. So, with assistance in studying Islam, children can read, master all subjects, including general science, Islamic religion, and memorize the Al-Qur'an, especially juz 30. Supporting factors in tutoring activities are geographical location, the majority of students being Muslim, the tutor's resources and sufficient funding and support from the community. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors in tutoring activities are the lack of professional staff, lack of funding and lack of children's interest.
