Abstract

Indonesia possesses significant tourism potential capable of attracting a diverse range of visitors. Ecotourism, as a concept, goes beyond the mere notion of nature-loving travel and recreation. It represents a concerted effort to preserve and sustain the world's cultural and environmental diversity. This approach supports and upholds local cultures in its operational areas, while welcoming and accommodating visitors in a manner that is both non-intrusive and environmentally benign. Desa Kemuning stands out among the tens of thousands of villages in Indonesia due to its exceptional tourism offerings. Located in Ngargoyoso District, Karanganyar Regency, this village is renowned for its rich tourism resources, including waterfalls, temples, tea plantations, and many more. The region has consistently attracted a substantial number of tourists. Upon observing Desa Kemuning, it became evident that tea is the defining characteristic of this village. Based on this observation, the title of this research is "Tea Village Educational Tourism Area of Kemuning with an Eco-tourism Approach."
