Abstract

Based on data from the Banyumas Regency BPBD in 2022, flood disasters in Banyumas Regency occur every year due to high rain intensity causing river bodies to overflow, causing flooding in each village. Sumpiuh District is one of the areas that is subscribed to floods every year. The research method uses secondary analysis with the overlay technique of each parameter and then calculations are carried out through SPSS software to carry out a multiple correlation test for each parameter. The purpose of this study is to analyze the distribution of flood vulnerability and find out the dominant factors causing flooding in Sumpiuh District. Factors such as rainfall intensity, slope, soil type, land use, and place elevation. The results of the study show that Sumpiuh District has 3 classes of vulnerability, namely very vulnerable, vulnerable, and less vulnerable. The less vulnerable class has a 26% percentage and an area of 1577.5 hectares spread across several locations, namely Banjarpanen Village and Bogangin Village. Then, the vulnerable class has a 28% percentage and an area of 1746.9 hectares which is spread across Lebeng Village, Kobokura Village, Kradenan Village, Selandaka Village, and Ketanda Village. As for the very vulnerable class, it has 46% percent and an area of 2816.7 hectares spread throughout the region with different results. The dominant factor causing flooding in the research area is the slope of the slope with a significance value of 74% and the factor causing flooding in Sumpiuh District is the slope factor based on the height parameter of the place.
