Abstract

Karanganyar Regency has very diverse tourism potential, one of which is natural tourism. The natural tourist area in Karanganyar Regency is on the slopes of Mount Lawu. One of them is in Ngargoyoso District. The design of the hotel resort in Ngargoyoso was motivated by the large number of tourists coming to Karanganyar Regency, especially Ngargoyoso District, the conditions of accommodation accommodation did not meet the needs and satisfaction of visitors to stay overnight. Bioclimatic architecture is a type of architecture that designs buildings based on the relationship between building form, environment and climate. The basic principle of bioclimatic architecture is the use of passive solar and bioclimatic designs that save energy through the use of natural energy originating from the environment around the building. Bioclimatic architecture prioritizes comfort conditions for occupants or building users. The atmosphere designed in this hotel resort is expected to make visitors relaxed and comfortable when resting in it. Apart from that, this hotel is expected to contribute to protecting the environment with the approach used, namely the bioclimatic architecture approach.
