Abstract

This study aims to discuss the legal protection of victims of sexual abuse according to Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection and overcome the problems of Women who are Susila (WTS) against child victims of sexual abuse by DP3AP2KB Surakarta City and Wanodyatama Women's Social Service Center Surakarta. The approach used in this research is empirical juridical, the intended empirical juridical approach is to gain knowledge about legal issues that affect legal protection in society. This approach is carried out direct research in the field to obtain the main data about victims of sexual abuse of children who have carried out guidance and social rehabilitation services at the Wanodyatama Women's Social Service Center, Central Java Provincial Office. Sexual harassment or sexual crime is an extraordinary criminal offense that should not be allowed by human common sense. In various types of sexual harassment not only against children, anyone can be subjected to sexual harassment not only by touching, catcalling, stalking, forced dating, or harassment through cyberspace through unkind comments and many more. Until now, many people do not do anything because they do not know what to do. How to protect someone who is experiencing sexual harassment consists of being reprimanded, diverted, reported, calmed down and recorded. The Surakarta city government has conveyed understanding so that parents and the community can easily protect someone who is experiencing sexual harassment and can stop sexual harassment. The conclusion of this study is that the role of parents and communities who are still taboo is very important to be given more information to support victims and stop the number of victims of sexual harassment in Surakarta in order to reduce sexual harassment, especially in children.
