Abstract

The natural and cultural richness of Indonesia serves as the basis for the expansion of the travel and tourism sector, with history and culture playing a crucial role in enriching the global cultural heritage. Taman Sriwedari, formerly known as Taman Hiburan Rakyat, has experienced decline due to land ownership disputes, resulting in neglect and the need for physical improvement and activities within. To revitalize it, Taman Sriwedari has been transformed into a Creative Hub, providing space for creative individuals with a creative tourism approach. The intention is to optimize the potential of Taman Sriwedari, attract visitors, and enrich the cultural and economic life of Surakarta City. The main issue lies in the lack of creative utilization and decline in facility quality, negatively impacting visitor interest and Surakarta's cultural identity. The design concept involves transforming Taman Sriwedari into a center for cultural activities that supports local artists and preserves cultural heritage. The design process includes comprehensive analysis of additional facility and activity needs, as well as optimal placement of creative activity points. The resulting design includes additions such as parking facilities, a Food Court, art performance areas, Workshops, and Co-Working spaces. Planned activities include cultural art tours, local art festivals, art exhibitions, and performances. It is hoped that this will reignite the allure of Taman Sriwedari as a vital destination contributing to the economy and cultural identity of Surakarta.
