Abstract
Muhammad Fathul Huda. 2024. Analysis of the development of settlement area and settlement patterns in Jogorogo sub-district, Ngawi district, East Java Province in 2015 and 2023. This research aims to (1) Analyze the distribution of residential areas in Jogorogo sub-district. (2) Analysis of settlement patterns based on topography in Jogorogo sub-district. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method. This research uses a results analysis method in the form of GIS (Overlay) analysis for spatial data and nearest neighbor index analysis to determine the type of settlement pattern. The results of this research show that there is a change in the area of settlements in Jogorogo sub-district in the period 2015 - 2023, increasing by around 9.2 ha. Judging from the distribution according to the slope, settlements are concentrated in areas with a slope of 0-8% with an area increase of 5.1 ha. Based on altitude, most settlements are found in areas with a height of 200-400 m and the area increases by around 6.1 ha. The settlement pattern is relatively constant, dominated by clustered settlements. Keywords: Settlement, Settlement pattern, Topography
