Abstract

Indonesia is a country that has a quality of education that is quite far from the average standard at international level. Data shows that Indonesia is ranked 67th out of 293 countries. Meanwhile, according to data from the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2022, the collection of survey data taken in several aspects of score indicators in 2022 decreased compared to 2018. This shows that this problem must be addressed. However, the problem is that the education system continues to develop and is at odds with students' mental health. Teenagers' mental health declines for many reasons. Another irony arises when looking at DIY's status as a student city with high quality education, but the phenomenon of cases of teenagers experiencing mental disorders and suicide in Yogyakarta is also quite high, based on data from the DIY Health Service in 2016, it shows that the largest number of people experiencing mental disorders is in the region. Bantul. Until now there are no facilities that provide space for teenagers to heal mental disorders, mental health facilities are still conventional so there are still many teenagers who are less interested in mental healing. Mental disorder healing service facilities are focused on teenagers, looking at managing each individual's stress, teenagers tend to do refreshing activities, take up hobbies, get closer to themselves in a religious spiritual context, and tell stories to others to reduce the burden of stress. Based on these problems, the author tried to design a facility in the form of a Student Mental Healing Center through an Architecture of Happiness approach as an effort to help students achieve better happiness and well-being and provide a positive impact on the psychology of its users.
