Abstract

Anxiety during pregnancy is one of the risk factors that affect the mental health of pregnant women, so it can also affect themselves and the safety of the baby they are carrying. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge about pregnancy and age with the level of anxiety in pregnant women at Puskesmas Pajang. This type of research uses a Cross Sectional approach. The research was conducted in April - May 2024 at Pajang Health Center. The sampling technique used in this research was Accidental Sampling of 125 pregnant women who underwent examinations at the Pajang Community Health Center. The data collection technique used in this research was a questionnaire and then the data was analyzed using the Chi-square and Fisher's exact tests. The results showed that there was no relationship between the level of knowledge about pregnancy (p-value = 0.109) and age (p-value = 0.152) with the level of anxiety in pregnant women at Pajang Health Center. Conclusion The level of knowledge about pregnancy and age does not correlate with the level of anxiety in pregnant women. It is hoped that health workers can carry out initial screening regarding the mental well-being of mothers, especially anxiety during pregnancy, as well as provide education and information needed during pregnancy and before delivery. Future researchers are expected to be able to conduct research using additional variables to find out whether other variables are related to anxiety in pregnant women.
