Abstract

In the modern era, attention to health and energy sustainability is very important. An innovative concept utilizes a manual treadmill as a source of electricity using piezoelectric sensors. The aim of this research is to create a power-generating device on a manual treadmill using piezoelectric sensors and analyze the amount of electricity produced. This research was conducted by integrating piezoelectric sensors arranged in parallel. The device testing was carried out using a speed method read by the LM393 sensor. Testing was conducted with four varying body weights measured using a load cell sensor. The voltage and current produced were measured with the MAX471 sensor. The test results showed that the voltage generated was quite large, but the current produced was very small. The highest output was obtained by running at a speed of 9.7 m/s with a weight of 82 kg, producing a voltage of 24,6 Volts and a current of 39.2 mA for 30 seconds. This was able to charge a 6000 mAh battery for 1 hour and 20 minutes. The lowest voltage output was obtained by walking at a speed of 3.1 m/s with a body weight of 63 kg, producing a voltage of 9,9 Volts and a current of 9.2 mA. This was able to charge a 6000 mAh battery for 5 hours and 42 minutes.
