Abstract

A building is a physical form resulting from construction work that is integrated with its location, which functions as a place for humans to carry out activities, whether for housing or living, religious activities, business activities, social activities, and others. There are several elements that must be considered when designing a building. The elements that must be considered are architectural, structural and electrical mechanical elements. Through the Building Information Modeling (BIM) method, information in design is integrated, so errors between information become smaller. The design was carried out at the Faculty of Business Economics Building, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. The Faculty of Business Economics building is planned to build an 8-storey building with a total building area of 1.800 m2. In order to obtain electrical resources, correct mechanical, electrical and plumbing design is required. In addition to calculating lighting points, simulations will be used to determine lighting points using Dialux software, while piping design for plumbing systems will be simulated using BIM (Building Information Modeling) software so that intersection errors in pipes can be smaller. AC capacity and GWT (Ground Water Tank) design using calculations. The GWT capacity in the Faculty of Business Economics building reaches 680 m3, while the total AC capacity requirement is 8,784,000 BTU/h. The installation in the Faculty of Business Economics Building has a total power of 1,65 MVA using ACB 2500 A protection and cable conductors using NYY 12x1x300mm2. Apart from using resources through PLN in the Faculty of Business Economics Building, an On Grid photovoltaic system will be designed using PVsyst software simulation. The PVsyst simulation results provide system information using photovoltaics with a capacity of 307 kWp. Capable of producing 501,764 kWh/year. The area used for designing solar panels is 1441m2.
