Abstract

Electrical energy is an energy that results from the flow of electrons moving through an electric field. Basically, this energy is the result of the conversion of electrical potential energy into kinetic energy in electronic devices. Electrical energy comes from non-renewable and renewable resources such as coal, petroleum, natural gas, sun, and wind. This research aims to develop a monitoring and maintenance system for household energy usage. The main purpose of this system is to monitor every use of current, voltage, power , frequency, power factor, kWh meter, and electrical conditions in households to provide maximum service to consumers. The results of this monitoring can also be used as an engineer's report on the consumption that has been used by the household. This system is equipped with a PZEM-004T sensor that is used to obtain usage data on households. The data obtained from the sensor detection results will be sent to the database and then will be displayed on the website, which allows the engineer to supervise the system remotely. The results show that the IoT system for monitoring and maintenance of energy usage in households is able to improve services to consumers. In addition, data that has been monitored can be used as reports because the data is stored in the database. Real-time monitoring provides important information about system performance that can be used to make proactive adjustments and improvements.
