Abstract
The rapid development of technology has a significant impact on various fields, including education, entertainment, industry, business and finance. One example is the advent of the internet, which makes it easier to access information from home and abroad through social media networks. In addition, Internet of Things (IoT) technology is also used in various fields, with devices connected to each other via the internet. Electrical energy is an important necessity in human life. Electric energy customers complain about bill costs that cannot be monitored in real time. Previous research has produced an automatic home appliance controller, but has not monitored the amount of electrical energy usage. To overcome this problem, researchers designed a prototype based Internet Of Things system developed to monitor and control the use of household electrical energy. This prototype uses ESP32 microcontroller and PZEM-004T sensor to measure the amount of electrical energy including voltage, current, power, energy, frequency and power factor. The monitoring data will be displayed on the 20x4 I2C LCD display attached to the device and stored in the database and then displayed through the website dashboard and blynk application. In addition, this system also provides cost bill conversion and notification, as well as control of electrical energy usage. With this system, it is expected that electric energy customers can more easily monitor and control the use of electrical energy in their residence. This study shows the accuracy of the PZEM-004T sensor in measuring voltage by 99.66% and current by 84.27%. As for power measurement, the accuracy rate is 98,32% and energy is 93,27%. Then the under and over voltage warning features function properly and the internet speed factor affects the responsiveness of the tool for electrical load control with the Blynk IoT application.
