Abstract

Traditional games are types of games that have existed and been known to the public for tens to hundreds of years. Indonesia has various types of traditional games, this is due to the breadth and many cultures that this nation has. Traditional games have strong cultural and social values. This research is an exploratory research which aims to explore the values and benefits felt by teachers and students while implementing traditional games during PJOK class hours. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research and discussion of this research can be concluded that traditional sports provide positive values for students and teachers who apply or play this sport. By playing traditional sports, students feel they have a more cooperative and honest attitude that they can apply to life inside and outside school.
