Abstract

A home security system can be defined as a network of works that are interconnected with each other to produce security for its residents. An example of a home security system is security for house doors and bedroom doors. Currently, there are still many conventional locks on the market which have a low level of security, because doors with conventional locks are easy to break into just by prying open the door and it is very easy to fake the key. According to data from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency, the highest crime statistics in 2023 will be theft, namely around 150,000 cases, including home theft. With the large number of theft cases currently, people should use double locks in addition to conventional locks, for example using certain codes to authenticate each home owner, one of which is using a magnetic door lock with a piezoelectric sensor and an ultrasonic sensor based on the Internet of Things (IoT). Magnetic door locks work with a voltage of 12 volts, and the magnet will activate if there is a voltage that makes the two parts stick to each other. This tool is quite good because it uses a special code in the form of knocks that can be known and accessed by the home owner and certain people only, for example if 5 taps are registered with a certain beat pattern and tempo then if you want to open it you need to enter the beats according to what is registered. The ultrasonic sensor is set if the object is less than 5 cm and this system is also connected to the IoT system, namely Blynk. With this IoT system, householders can open the door via cellphone and if the door is closed or open, a notification will appear.
