Abstract

The aim of this research is to identify the protection of minors against alcohol in Puhpelem District, Wonogiri Regency and law enforcement for children involved in criminal acts of consuming alcohol in Puhpelem District, Wonogiri Regency. Apart from that, this research also reviews the law on drinking alcohol according to Islamic law. The Juridical-Empirical research approach determined in this research uses qualitative research methods because the researcher intends to understand the phenomenon of what is experienced by research subjects, for example behavior, legal action, and actions that have been carried out, directly by means of descriptions in the form of words and language, in a specific context. The aim of using qualitative methods is to seek a deep understanding of a problem subject, facts or reality within it. Researchers use descriptive qualitative research because the author wants to describe the research results not with numbers but using written words and describing the results. The conclusion of this research is that prevention efforts carried out by the police with assistance from the government of Puhpelem Village, Wonogiri Regency are arrest operations and outreach to children and teenagers. However, law enforcement carried out by the police and government is not effective. According to Islamic law, drinking alcoholic beverages is haram. As well as determining the punishment for drinking alcohol based on hudud according to Islamic teachings.
