Abstract

Background of the Problem, Early Childhood is a group of children aged 0-6 years who are in a new process of development and improvement and have qualities appropriate to their age stage. ABA Kindergarten is the only kindergarten in Cairo with limited space, time and finances, but can still exist today. This situation makes researchers very interested in researching more deeply, then the importance of implementing a good and systematic curriculum will have a positive impact on children, and the formation of Character and Attitude from an early age will foster good attitudes in the future. Preparation for Formal Education is also necessary prepared for the next level of education, Minimizing Educational Inequality starts from an early age. The aims of this research are; First, to describe the implementation of the PAI & Characteristics curriculum at the ABA Cairo Kindergarten. Second, to describe the role of school principals and teachers in implementing the Islamic Education & Characteristics curriculum at ABA Cairo Kindergarten. Third, to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Islamic Education & Characteristics curriculum in ABA Cairo Kindergarten. This research is qualitative research, data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis uses content analysis. This research was conducted from September – February 2024. The subjects for data collection were school principals and teachers. The main instrument in this research is the researcher himself. Data analysis uses deductive. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that: First, the PAI & Character Curriculum at ABA Cairo Kindergarten has implemented moral and religious values, social, emotional, independence, cognitive, language, motor and artistic values. Apart from that, the values contained in the Al-Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. Second, the role of the principal and teachers is to create collaboration between teachers, staff, parents and students in implementing the PAI & Characteristics curriculum at ABA Cairo Kindergarten according to student needs. Third, supporting factors in implementing the PAI & Characteristics curriculum at ABA Cairo Kindergarten are the availability of professional teachers, support from parents and the community. The inhibiting factor is the lack of learning facilities and infrastructure and mastery of digital technology for teachers.
