Abstract

Landslide can be interpreted as the movement of slope-forming materials in the form of soil, rocks, reshuffle materials or other materials from a high place to a low place. Landslide disasters are common in areas with the characteristics of highlands and steep slopes. Kemiri District in Purworejo Regency is bounded by several mountains so that part of the Kemiri District area is 60% hilly area. The objectives of this study are 1) analyzing landslide vulnerability using the AHP method and 2) analyzing the dominant factors causing landslides in Kemiri District, Purworejo Regency. The method used in this study is AHP modeling and overlay using ArcGIS. This study shows that Kemiri District has 3 classes of landslide vulnerability, low landslide vulnerability with an area of 33.75 km2, medium landslide vulnerability with an area of 48.76 km2, and high vulnerability class of 15.52 km2. Land use shows the most dominant factor for landslide occurances in Kemiri District, Purworejo Regency.
