Abstract
Mangrove forests have aesthetic aspects, from natural factors and from the aspect of life, with uniqueness and natural charm that is very beautiful. Mangroves in Pasarbanggi Village have become an ecotourism area that has the value of the concept of sustainable tourism development. Based on data from the tourism office, the level of tourists visiting more beach tourist destinations, it is necessary to analyze the management of ecotourism. This study aims to analyze the extent of the distribution of mangrove forests between 2018 and 2023 and analyze the potential and management of ecotourism with the final result in the form of recommendations for development plans in mangrove forest ecotourism areas. The method used is divided into 3 in accordance with the objectives, namely digitation and overlay used to analyze changes in mangrove area. Sentinel images are processed through GEE to get the NDWI index to facilitate mangrove digitation, then field observations, scoring and interviews are used to analyze the potential of tourism and managers. Management recommendations using SWOT analysis. The results showed that the mangrove area in 2018 and 2023 increased by 5.18 Ha, while in terms of internal potential, the total score was 69 high class criteria and the external potential was a total of 18 scores of medium class criteria. The results of the interview resulted from the positive side of the management membership, mangrove potential from the location and natural resources, from the negative side in the form of human resources where different mindsets between fishermen groups and farmers and finances whose only income is donations and parking. The final results of the formulation of SWOT recommendations such as strengthening the level of ecotourism management specifically in terms of tourism, conducting research on natural resources, increasing social branding on social media platforms and establishing cooperative relationships with investors and the private sector.
