Abstract

This thesis aims to explain how the process of regeneration of Muhammadiyah scholars before the establishment of Pendidikan Ulama Tarjih Muhammadiyah (PUTM) and the dynamics of the PUTM curriculum in the period 1968-2023. This research paradigm uses a qualitative research paradigm with a type of library research. The approach used is historical, while the data collection method is by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study showed that the existence of systematic regeneration of Muhammadiyah scholars in Muhammadiyah was after the establishment of PUTM, but efforts to produce Muhammadiyah scholars have existed since the beginning of the establishment of educational institutions in Muhammadiyah, starting from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Diniyah Islamiyah (Kiai School), Volkschool Muhammadiyah Kauman Yogyakarta, Standaardschool Muhammadiyah, Al-Qismul Arqa, Pondok Muhammadiyah, Kweekschool Islam / Kweekschool Islam Moehammadijah, Madrasah Mu'allimin Muhammadiyah, Madrasah Zu'ama and Za'imat Muhammadiyah. The PUTM curriculum starting from the period 1968-2023 experienced a lot of dynamics. Likewise, the adjustment of the curriculum development model used differs from one period to another. There are three phases of the PUTM curriculum dynamics, namely the PUTM curriculum dynamics in the pioneering phase, the PUTM curriculum dynamics in the stabilization phase, and the PUTM curriculum dynamics in the development phase. In the pioneering phase, the development model used The Administrative Line-Staff Model. As for the stabilization phase, the development models used were The Grass-Roots Model and The Systemic Action-Research Model. Finally, in the development phase, the models used are The Grass-Roots Model and Beauchamp'e System Model
