Abstract
PT. Pagilaran is a company engaged in tea processing, which has activities in the plantation, industrial and trade sectors with its product, namely orthodox black tea. The aim of this research is to provide suggestions for improving quality control to reduce the number of low quality products. In the grading results, there are 3 types of products with low quality, namely PF III, DUST III, and BOHEA. Based on SPC calculations, it was found that the BOHEA product was the product that appeared more frequently within 11 months than the other two products with a frequency reaching 124,767 kg and a cumulative ratio of 45%. The results of identification using the RCA method show that the factors that cause low quality products are human factors, machine factors, method factors, raw material factors and environmental factors.
