Abstract
Musculoskeletal or skeletal muscle disorders generally occur due to excessive muscle contractions due to poor working attitudes, and workloads that are too heavy with long duration of loading. Excessive muscle contractions result in reduced blood circulation to the muscles so that oxygen supply to the muscles decreases, the process of carbohydrate metabolism is hampered and as a result there is a buildup of lactic acid which causes muscle pain. This study aims to determine the relationship between age, length of service, work posture, body mass index and physical activity with complaints among workers at Ningrat Batik Lasem Rembang. This type of research is observational analytical research using a cross sectional study. The sample used was 50 permanent workers, the sampling technique used was purposive sampling and the data analysis used was the Spearman Rank test. The results of statistical tests show that there is a relationship between worker age and MSDs (p value 0.000), there is a relationship between length of service and MSDs (p value 0.031), there is a relationship between BMI and MSDs (p value 0.013), there is no relationship between work posture and MSDs (p value 0.263), there is no relationship between physical activity and MSDs (p value 0.930) in workers at Ningrat Batik Lasem Rembang.
