Abstract

Exercise is also a basic need in daily life because it can increase a person's endurance. One of the sports facilities provided by the Klaten regional government is the construction of a Sports Hall. However, it is very unfortunate that the facilities and comfort of exercising at the Gelarsena GOR, which is one of the icons of the city of Klaten, are inadequate and many sports facilities are damaged, therefore a redesign of the Gelarsena GOR is needed. In this report there are several discussion methods, namely, observation, literature study, and documentation which can help the author get an idea in making a GOR redesign plan. The aim of the redesign is to improve the quality of the Gelarsena GOR to become a type B GOR. The redesign of the GOR will also be with the concept of a neo vernacular architectural approach with the hope that it can become one of the icons of the city of Klaten.
