Abstract

his research focuses on developing the religius character of the Integrated Islamic Vocational High School Ihsanul Fikri Magelang. The formulation of the problems in this study are, 1. How are the characteristics of students related to religius character? 2. How is the development of religius character? 3. What is the impact of developing religius character on student behavior? The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic research type. This research is a research approach that produces descriptive data, which is written or spoken data and observable behavior of people. The collection of research data was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The purpose of this study was to identify student characteristics related to religius culture, find patterns of developing religius character, analyze and describe the impact of religius character development of student behavior. Creating open communication patterns, building cooperation to create effective communication in developing religius character and developing religius character through extracurricular activities at SMK IT Ihsanul Fikri Magelang. The results of this study found that students of SMK IT Ihsanul Fikri had different characteristics regarding religius character. Students of SMKI Ihsanul Fikri come from different family backgrounds, but over time and the concept of thinking that has been built at SMKI Ihsanul Fikri students have understood the importance of religius character so that it needs to be emphasized in everyday life.Teacher communication patterns in developing religius character are a) building open communication patterns, b) building collaboration to create effective communication in developing religius character, c) developing religius character with extracurricular that are integrated with superior programs. The impact of the development of religius culture is religius behavior, positive thinking, and growth of good manners. Religius development in schools cannot be separated from school leadership and teachers as the main actors who determine and color school life and the daily lives of students and school members.
