Abstract
Floods and droughts can occur due to problems related to recharge area. This study aims to analyze the condition of potential infiltration and actual infiltration in Karanganyar Regency and analyze the distribution and level of water infiltration capability in various areas in Karanganyar Regency. The method used is scoring analysis and overlaying 4 parameters using a geographic information system. The parameters used are soil type, rainfall parameter, slope parameter and land use parameter. This research was made based on the Regulation of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia No : P.32 / MENHUT-II / 2009 concerning procedures for preparing technical plans for forest and land rehabilitation in watershed areas / RTkRHL-DAS (2009). The results of the analysis show that potential infiltration conditions in Karanganyar district are dominated by small potential infiltration conditions with Reddish Brown Litosol soil types, moderate rainfall infiltration rates and gentle slope levels, while actual infiltration conditions are dominated by small actual infiltration conditions with land use in the form of settlements, rice fields, reservoirs and rivers. The condition of water infiltration capacity in Karanganyar Regency has 5 conditions, namely Good condition with an area of 19,389.61 Ha with a percentage of 24.24%, Normal Natural condition with an area of 8,389.61 Ha with a percentage of 10.49%, starting to be critical with an area of 26,655.77 Ha with a percentage of 33.33%, somewhat critical condition with an area of 25,467.70 Ha with a percentage of 31.84% and critical condition with an area of 75.39 Ha with a percentage of 0.09%, where starting to be critical conditions dominate in Karanganyar Regency.
