Abstract

RK studio is a company that is developing in the beauty sector, especially in the field of nail art and eyelash. Currently, the treatment reservation process at RK Studio still uses the manual method, namely by ordering via WhatsApp and customers have to come to the studio. This causes the owner of RK Studio to have difficulty recording data on customers who will carry out nail art and eyelash treatments. Apart from that, customers who want to undergo treatment have to come to the place to make a manual reservation to wait their turn so customers have to give up a lot of time to wait. Therefore, in this research a reservation information system will be developed. This system is used by customers to make it easier to make reservations online and makes it easier for admins to check when users make reservations. This information system was developed using the SDLC method or System Development Life Cycle which uses the waterfall method with stages, namely, analysis, design, coding and testing. In development, the system uses the Laravel framework and PHP as programming languages, while the server and database use Apache and MySQL which already exist in the xampp application. This research produces a reservation system to make it easier for users to use the facilities easily and understandably if they make a reservation using the system. The system has been tested using the black box method and System Usability Scale (SUS). The black box method shows good results for each input-output from the system, while the System Usability Scale test produces a score of 70 which can be categorized as the system running well and being accepted by users.
